Number 10 in The Dark Knight Series: [link]
Well I finally got there, Number 10 and of course I had to do a favourite, The Riddler.
I did a totally other idea but I just wasnt feeling it, so back to the drawing board and came up with this.
My idea behind this Riddler was more someone who's a victim of their own mentality, The Riddler prides himself on his puzzle breaking, detective like skills but is so baffled by Batman. Who he is? Why does he do it? What does he get out of it?
So he becomes a criminal more for his interest and desire to answer this burning question. But he knows being a petty thief wont call for the Bats attention, so he becomes more of a 'Jigsaw' type character, kidnapping people and broadcasting his dangerous puzzles. He doesn't mean to kill his first 'player' but after his addiction to puzzles leads to someone being killed by one of his contraptions before the Bat gets there, he gets a thrill from the 'countdown' aspect of puzzles. Can Batman save this person and figure out my trap before time runs out.
I think Paul Bettany could do a good job if the role was ever given out

You know it's pretty sad that Robin Williams never got a chance to get piece of the DC pie he was rejected for Joker Riddler and Hugo Strange and i really feel like he would of been good in those roles.
